- Alban Berg (b. Feb. 9, 1885, in Vienna - d. Dec. 24, 1935, in Vienna) was an Austrian composer of the Second Viennese School comprised also of his teacher Arnold Schoenberg and fellow pupil Anton Webern.
- Willi Reich (b. May 27, 1898, in Vienna - d. May 1, 1980, in Zürich) was a music critic and musicologist; he studied composition with A. Berg and later became his biographer.
