- Focuses on his writings, in particular, his comparative studies of democracy and its relationship with economic development as well as his work relating to American exceptionalism, the American Jewish identity and community, Judaism in America, Israelis in America, federal cases related to the Canadian Wheat Board in 1996 and 1998, comparative studies of the United States and Canada, democracy, neoconservatism, political extremism, socialism, social mobility and stratification, the state of sociology, student involvement in politics, and trade unions. Huntington to the National Academy of Sciences in 1986 and 1987.
